Carving the faces of “white men” on the rocks of the Black Hills was not such a good idea. Probably like rubbing salt into the wounds of the Sioux who claim these mountains even today. Their own efforts of having Crazy Horse charge out of the rock on his horse is a very good one. Too bad it will not be finished in my lifetime.
Who would have thought that anyplace could be more beautiful than Texas?

What a great secret South Dakota is! And how wonderful it was to be so close to my beloved buffalo again. This great fellow posed nicely for me so I could try out new lenses on my Nikon.
